Meet Kade

Hi! I'm Kade's mom. Kade is my smart, handsome, 18 month old son. I wish I had been more consistent in keeping a written record of his life so far, so I thought a blog might motivate me to write more often. I have a blog, here, but I thought I'd do one solely about my baby boy.

This is Kade--
He loves Veggie Tales, bananas, and Vaseline. He can do the motions to "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and his favorite book is "The Very Busy Bear". He loves to give hugs and kisses. I quit my job as a high school English teacher to stay home with him. It is a privilege to be his mommy.

Funny story of the day. At naptime, after our book, song, and prayer, I lay him in his crib and then I lie in the floor until he goes to sleep. Today, after I laid him down, he played with his soother for several minutes, babbled to himself, and finally got quiet and started breathing heavily. I assumed he was asleep and started to creep out of the room, but when I turned around, he was sitting straight up in his crib, just staring at his mobile (which we have never used). I continued to watch him without moving (because he would freak if he knew I was trying to leave) and his head started to fall forward. He caught himself and sat back up. He was determined not to go to sleep, but his little body kept flopping forward until he finally decided to give up and lie down.

He is the sweetest and I can't wait to see him when he wakes up!
